How to use Kanopy

Glenelg Libraries users have access to the free film and TV streaming service Kanopy, offering on-demand streaming of a large collection of award-winning films and documentaries for library members.

Follow the steps below to get started, and if you get stuck, phone us on 5522 2265 or drop into a library branch for some help.

Step 1.Visit the Kanopy website

  • If you're using a computer, click the button that says, "Add a library card".
  • If you're using a mobile or tablet, tap the button that says, "Get started", and then tap "Find your library". Search for Glenelg Libraries, then tap "Select this library".

 

Step 2.Create an account

Enter your Glenelg Libraries membership number and PIN/password. You can then create a Kanopy account by entering your name and email address. If you've forgotten your PIN/password, contact any Glenelg Libraries branch.

 

Step 3.Download the Kanopy app

In addition to using the Kanopy website, you can download the Kanopy app onto mobile phones and tablets. You can then use the Kanopy app to cast (i.e., broadcast or send what you're watching) to a TV. Follow the links on the right to download the Kanopy app.
