Libraries After Dark Author Event: Fiona Lowe - The Drowning

Fiona Lowe and her book The Drowning

Join award-winning Australian author Fiona Lowe when she visits Glenelg Libraries on Thursday 19 March to discuss her gripping new mystery, The Drowning.

The Drowning features a body on a beach, an unexpected inheritance, and a family torn apart by secrets. When cousins CC, James, Ollie, Felix and Lily inherit their beloved beach house, what begins as the perfect gift quickly devolves into an emotional power struggle. Half want to preserve the family legacy; the others want to sell.

The Drowning promises page-turning suspense combined with Lowe's signature insight into family relationships.

Fiona Lowe, recipient of the prestigious USA RITA award and two Australian RuBY awards, is known for her thought-provoking novels exploring family dynamics and moral dilemmas in small-town Australia. Her previous bestsellers include The Accident, Just an Ordinary Family, and The Money Club.

Come along to hear Fiona discuss her writing process, the inspiration behind The Drowning, and the themes she explores.
